My journey to mental healthcare

What attracted me to therapy: I grew up in a home with a parent who was addicted to alcohol and drugs. There were a lot of traumas I was exposed to, and I could not understand why my parent continued to display self-destructive behaviors. I remember telling my parent, " When I grow up, I'm going to become a psychologist so I can help you for free".

My goals for you

My approach to goal setting with clients will come in the first few sessions together. During my first few sessions, I will gain a better idea of your needs and what goals you would like to achieve during the course of your treatment. Once goals are developed, we will work through strategies and ways to meet those goals and adjust them if needed.
