Hello, and thank you for considering me for therapy! My name is Stephanie, and I have been a therapist since 2015. I am extremely passionate about what I do, as it is an honor to walk alongside my clients as they move toward mental wellness.
My approach
I use trauma-informed therapies such as TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) to treat teens and adults who have experienced trauma. My ideals to treat eating disorders are aligned with the Health at Every Size and Intuitive Eating models. I also use CBT, DBT, and more for all my clients.
My focus
I have experience in many areas, such as depression, anxiety, chemical dependency, trauma, and eating disorders. I am willing to see minors (ages 13-17) and individuals.
My communication style
I think educating my clients is extremely important so they can learn the skills to use for the rest of their lives. I aim to communicate in a clear and informative way.
My journey to mental healthcare
I earned my MA in Science in Counseling. From Jan 2015-Jan 2016, I completed clinical hours at Turning Point Center for Families in Costa Mesa, CA. I also gained experience at Alternative Options Counseling Center in Artesia, CA from Jan 2015-Jan 2019. My passion for mental health and helping others led me to pursue a career in therapy.
My goals for you
I assist my clients in regaining function in their lives, uncovering any old beliefs or pain that may be holding them back, and helping them to integrate all pieces of themselves so that they can find themselves again. My goal is to help you find mental wellness.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and your goals. I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable opening up. We'll collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. Walking alone in the dark of your struggles is scary. Don't go it alone. Reach out and schedule with me today!
