As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer individuals, children (ages 8 and up), couples, and families an integrative and holistic research-based approach. I customize various therapeutic tools to meet the unique needs of each patient. My direct style challenges your way of thinking without leaving you feeling judged. As the expert in your own life, we will collaborate as partners to help you reach your goals.
My approach
My approach aims to provide a safe space for you to experience and process emotions, letting go of barriers keeping you from being your best self and living your best life. I believe life experiences can throw us off balance, but we each have an innate ability to heal, learn, and practice healthy coping skills to regain the equilibrium needed for a healthy, fulfilling life. In our therapeutic collaboration, you are the expert and I serve as your guide and coach.
My focus
I specialize in working with children (ages 8 and up), adolescents, adults, couples, and families experiencing issues related to trauma, abandonment, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, and life transitions. My focus also includes LGBTQIA+, supporting women, individuals coping with trauma, and those suffering from addictions. As your therapist, it will be a privilege to walk with you on the road to greater well-being.
My communication style
I am direct in my communication and will challenge your way of thinking without leaving you feeling judged. We will work collaboratively as partners, with you as the expert in your own life, to reach the goals you set for yourself.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with earning a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2014. I went on to receive a master's degree in marriage and family therapy, also from the University of Phoenix, in 2018. Currently, I am pursuing a Ph.D. at Northcentral University, studying marriage and family therapy with a specialization in culture, diversity, and social justice, with an anticipated completion date of 2025.
My goals for you
My goal for you is to help you understand the issues you are dealing with and develop a plan to move forward in a healthy way. I aim to provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to process emotions, let go of barriers, and tap into your innate ability to heal and grow. Together, we will work to help you regain balance and live a more fulfilling life.
