I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been doing this for 20 years. It is important to build rapport and give honest feedback. You will likely find me asking questions or trying to understand something better so that I can better support you.
My approach
I lean in the direction of a helpful approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a highly focused therapy shown to be the best treatment for various problems. It is an active, goal-oriented treatment aimed at solving problems. I will utilize other ways and techniques of helping you to overcome whatever life brings.
My focus
I typically work with adults ages 18+. I typically do individual therapy. In my 20 years of practice, I have worked in different areas of this field and am comfortable in any setting. I am most comfortable treating individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and cultural issues.

If you ever have questions about different options available, don't hesitate to ask. It's important for me to make sure I understand you correctly. You will likely find me asking questions or trying to understand something better so that I can better support you. I truly look forward to hearing more about you and your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
I started my journey as a child protective social worker. I have worked in many different areas such as hospital settings, case management, and prison settings. I am driven to do this work because I enjoy seeing people reach goals or learn coping skills to assist them. I do enjoy hearing about life journeys.
