Hi there, I'm Kimberly!

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Hypnotherapist with over 20 years of experience, including 15 years providing therapy, I am dedicated to helping people find lasting healing. My mission is to equip clients with the tools they need to grow and sustain the life they want.

My approach

I draw upon extensive training in various therapeutic modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MCBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Polyvagal Theory. As a certified yoga instructor, I incorporate holistic approaches. I meet each client where they are, recognizing that every person is unique and deserves individualized treatment.

My focus

My areas of specialty include anger management, anxiety disorders, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, borderline personality, codependency, coping skills, depression, divorce, hoarding, impulsivity, impulse control disorders, job stress, life transitions, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), parenting, personality disorders, self-esteem, sleep issues, spirituality, stress management, and women's issues. I work with individuals, including minors aged 13-17.

My communication style

I communicate with directness and empathy, fostering an open dialogue where you feel heard and understood. My approach is collaborative—we work together to identify challenges and create personalized strategies for growth. I draw upon my extensive training to offer insights and guide you toward greater self-awareness and resilience.

My journey to mental healthcare

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from California State University, Bakersfield between August 2007 and June 2009. This rigorous training laid the foundation for my clinical expertise and ignited my passion for helping others navigate life's challenges to achieve greater well-being and fulfillment.

My goals for you

My goal is to empower you with effective strategies and insights to overcome obstacles, break free from unhelpful patterns, and make meaningful strides toward your aspirations. Through our work together, I aim to help you cultivate greater self-awareness, resilience, and the ability to thrive.

My first session with you

During our initial session, we will collaboratively explore your unique needs, concerns, and objectives for therapy. I will provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to share your story and begin the process of mapping out a personalized path toward growth and healing. Together, we will establish a strong therapeutic alliance built on trust, compassion, and a shared commitment to your well-being.
