Steven Johnson

Hello. My name is Steve Johnson, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I have been working in the helping professions my entire adult life. I first became licensed over 25 years ago and have had the pleasure of helping many people over the years, both online and in my private practice. I have worked with individuals, couples, and families seeking counseling and served as a supervisor to newly licensed counselors and therapists.

My focus

I am interested in working will clients of all ages, but working with young adults has been particularly rewarding.

My communication style

I am very much focused on self-determination and providing a safe space for clients to be expressive and explore their concerns. Working with me, clients feel heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

Yes, I am experienced, trained, and qualified, but most importantly, I care about the people that I am working with. Ultimately, I view myself as "a helper." My promise to you is that I will strive to provide the best care that I can for you. I am committed to doing my best to help with whatever is brought to me. For me, the most important part of the helping process is the connection and empathy shared with those that I am helping.
