Not currently accepting patients

Hi there, I'm Felicia!

Thank you for your inquiry into counseling. I am Dr. Felicia Tillman, a Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, and Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor. My goal is to empower you to experience therapeutic healing in your life by collaborating with you to gain insight and learn new skills.

My approach

My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, culture-affirming, and innovative. I utilize Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, and other treatment modalities to promote emotional well-being.

My focus

Specializing in trauma/abuse, educational stress, body image issues, abrupt changes/major life transitions, grief/loss, relationship conflict, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, parenting styles, substance use disorders, and working with survivors of human trafficking, I am prepared to help you to adjust and cope during these trying times. I am an advocate for self-care, especially if you are experiencing vicarious trauma. I look forward to working with you to become your best self and eagerly await your visit!

My communication style

As an active listener, I listen with empathy and curiosity. I seek to understand you and the situation you are experiencing. Working with me is like working with a supportive teammate who serves as a collaborative resource to help you achieve your therapeutic goals.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was always attracted to the field of counseling. However, it wasn't until I went to therapy that I decided to walk in my truth to become a counselor. I was first a civil engineer for many years. I am driven to do this work because I understand that healing is essential to living one's best life. Clarity is the cornerstone of purpose.

My goals for you

I partner with you to develop treatment goals, understanding the importance of meeting you where you are and walking beside you on your therapeutic journey.

My first session with you

During our first session, I will be getting to know you and what brought you to counseling. It may seem like I am flying a drone over your life to get the big picture of your psychosocial needs.
