My name is Lisa Marcelino, PhD, LMFT. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I primarily use solution-focused and emotion-focused modalities to help clients suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and Bipolar Disorder. I love helping others and making a difference.
My approach
I primarily use solution-focused and emotion-focused modalities, but treatment is tailored to fit specific client needs. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free zone in which clients can feel free to express themselves and process their emotions.
My focus
I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families suffering from trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and relational issues.
My communication style
I understand that undergoing therapy can be daunting and uncomfortable at times. I offer a safe, judgment-free space to share and process feelings, thoughts, fears, and hopes. I believe that clients possess the skills they need to succeed. They just need help unlocking their potential.
My journey to mental healthcare
I love what I do each day. Helping people in their time of need is so rewarding to me and I love knowing that I can make a difference each day. I have always wanted to be a therapist and I am grateful for the opportunity to do the work that I enjoy.

Clients develop goals that are realistic and reachable through collaboration with me.
My first session with you
Clients will participate in the information-gathering process in which I get to learn about their unique circumstances and background and they get to learn about my expertise and ways that I can help. Through this process, I begin to learn about the presenting issues and can then describe to the client what treatment will look like.
