My name is Miho Adkins. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in MN and providing therapy to Minnesota residents via telehealth. I am specialized in depression, anxiety, anger, ADHD, and trauma using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you quickly make progress and feel better.
My approach
I am trained to provide effective treatment to help you overcome your difficulties as quickly as possible. I mainly use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which is one of the most effective treatments for depression and anxiety. This modality helps you and me work as a team and achieve the goals you set.

I have found that my style and approach is a good fit for clients who are motivated to change. I will guide you to navigate your difficulties and provide effective tools so that you can feel better about yourself and develop a more positive outlook on life.
My communication style
I provide a warm and safe environment to invite clients to work on their concerns with me. I am a part of the client's team, and we work together on the goals that clients set. Clients will be required to do homework while I as a therapist provide tools to clients to work on.

Clients will identify goals that they would like to achieve. I as a therapist inform clients if the goals are something I can help with, and I will provide the most effective tools to clients to guide them.
My first session with you
What you can expect from our first session together is for us to talk about your concerns and for me as a therapist to ask many questions to understand your world. Through the first session, you can learn about my style and approach and you can decide if I am a good fit for you. At the end of the session, you will set goals and I will provide you with a map of how to help you get to the goals, so that you can understand what the therapy looks like with me.
