Hi, I am Debora Jette, a licensed marriage and family therapist with the States of Nevada and Missouri. I provide therapy with individuals to include adults and children; couples; and families. I work with clients to help them work through issues to resolve them and build a healthy and happy lifestyle.
My approach
My basic theories I utilize in therapy include cognitive behavior and systems approach. I do use other theories and approaches as directed by what clients are trying to achieve in their sessions with me.
My focus
As a marriage and family therapist, I am comfortable in working with people with various backgrounds. This includes individuals, couples, and families. We can work on any topic that a client brings to the session.
My communication style
My belief is that clients do have the answers within themselves. I work in collaborative with the client in our sessions. I will assist the client in finding their own answers with guidance to provide the best outcome for the client.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always wanted to be a therapist since I was a preteen. And it still to this day is my passion in life. I enjoy helping others resolve problems, sets goals for themselves, and working on achieving those goals.
My goals for you
I work with the client in discovering the goals they want to achieve in therapy. We will set up strategies so those goals can be achieved.
My first session with you
During the first session with me, we will be getting to know each other. The client will be talking about what encouraged them to seek therapy at this time, and what they hope to get out of therapy. I will explain a little bit about my background. Client can ask me any questions at that time.
