Hello! My name is Scott Silver, and I am an LCSW both in New York and Florida. I often utilize an eclectic, person-centered approach to treating adolescents and adults. I specialize in depression, anxiety, life transition issues, and relationship issues. However, I also have deep exposure to and appreciation for people who are suffering from addiction and substance abuse issues as well.
My approach
I often utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from several evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing, DBT, and strengths-focused. I work with the client to meet them where they are, always incorporating empathy and compassion into my work.
My focus
I often see clients as young as 12 years old up to the age of 65 years young. I am comfortable treating substance abuse/addiction, depression, anxiety, and life transition issues.
My communication style
I am very warm, empathetic, and free of judgment. I utilize an eclectic approach, drawing from several evidence-based approaches.
My journey to mental healthcare
Believe it or not, I was a corporate attorney in my previous career. At the age of 32 years old, I left the field of law after discovering that law wasn't my passion, and I went back to school to become an LCSW. My true passion lies in helping people be their best selves.

I collaborate with clients to establish a treatment plan that meets their goals and objectives. After all, this is your treatment, and we are working together as a team to help you to solve the problem areas in your life.

We will get to know each other and see if we are a good fit to work with each other. I will explain my approaches and see if we can be a good team together in working to solve your issues.
