My communication style
Setting a warm, comfortable environment is conducive to making my clients feel welcomed and offers them feeling a feeling of safety and trust. My clients have expressed a feeling of comfort and empathy when working with me. I try my best to be professional but caring with my clients.
My journey to mental healthcare
I can say that I have always been drawn to working with people since childhood. I grew up in a family of medical providers. My mother was a nurse and I admired the relationship she shared with her patients. However, for me, I prefer the mental health aspect of working with people. I appreciate seeing the growth that occurs when my clients are able to benefit from the help that my work provides them.
My goals for you
I approach my sessions by allowing my clients to define their reasons for seeking out therapy and finding out what their goals and expectations of the therapy are. I feel it is important to involve them in the process of goal setting as it empowers them to be a part of accomplishing their goals.
My first session with you
My clients should expect to be allowed the opportunity to communicate their reasons for seeking counseling and to be given a clear understanding of the therapeutic process.
