My approach

Each person is viewed as a unique individual,l and therefore not one approach can serve all. I base my practice on CBT, Narrative Therapy, Harm Reduction, Psychoanalysis, and radical genuineness. I believe the space created between therapist and client is what determines the progress and success of the helping relationship. I approach people with a trauma informed, decolonized and culturally aware lenses.

My focus

I have extensive experience with: the substance use disorder treatment, post-partum disorders (I am also a Doula) and Anxiety Disorders.

My communication style

Open communication is important to promote a healthy therapeutic alliance. I have a laid back approach to the tone and environment of sessions, always open to feedback, never afraid to provide the feedback clients need during their healing journey.

My journey to mental healthcare

Human connection and relationships are at the core of my values and experience as a human being. I naturally gravitate towards understanding human behavior, fascinated by people's stories, resilience and ability to change.

Goals need to be created in collaboration, maintained and explained at the clients pace, while using the therapist as a guide to continue into growth.
