LATYCE LOCKER

Hello, My name is Latyce Locker and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Addiction Counselor. I am passionate about helping my clients overcome barriers making them feel "stuck," and that may be standing in their way of moving forward on their journey toward mental health and/or substance abuse recovery.

My approach

I have a client-centered approach and array of experience working with adolescents to adults. My theoretical approaches range from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, TF-CBT, and other counseling styles based on your needs. Let me help you seize the day one challenge at a time, one second at a time, one moment at a time, and one day at a time. My focus

I work with clients with a range of mental health diagnoses to include but not limited to Depression, ADHD, Anxiety Disorders, and PTSD.

My communication style

I set a very genuine and supportive environment for my clients and have a very approachable counseling style. I provide a safe space for my clients to freely express themselves.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always wanted to help others heal and work through challenges to become a better person. In seeing various people struggle with grief and various situations in their lives, I discovered a passion to become a therapist to assist with the healing process.

The first session is about rapport building, an overview of the counseling process, and completing an assessment to get services started.
