Natalie Baldwin, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). I've treated individuals and families with a myriad of concerns using an eclectic and holistic approach. Depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, emotional pain, physical illness, transitions, self-esteem, and acceptance have been some of the issues I've worked with among a diverse group of clientele.
My approach
I utilize various evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as trauma cognitive-behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), motivational interviewing, trauma-sensitive yoga, and solution-focused therapy.
My focus
I work with clients with complex trauma, teen, kids, couples, and addiction.
My communication style
I create a safe place for the client by empowering the client through my client-centered approach. I utilize my play therapy skills by communicating through reflective listening.
My journey to mental healthcare
I knew I wanted to be a therapist ever since I was 17. I have always loved helping people in times of need. I am a good listener and empath, and I enjoy being around people; these skills have driven me into my career path today.
My goals for you
I give the client a safe place to approach goals. If the idea of goal setting is too overwhelming I used motivational interviewing and art therapy techniques to help the client develop goals.
My first session with you
The first session is introductions, going over policies and procedures, and starting the bio-psycho-social.
