Hi there, I'm Monica!

I am Monica, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology and 12 years of experience serving diverse mental health communities. I pride myself on my therapeutic style centered around respect and empathy.

My approach

I believe that my clients know themselves better than anyone and are their own best resource when it comes to treatment goals. I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills are combined to create solutions.

My focus

I have had the honor and opportunity to work with adolescents, adults, and older adults as a psychotherapist, assisting them in overcoming feelings of depression, anxiety, stress, grief, and trauma.

I strive to provide a good therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, freedom, transparency, and positive outcomes.

My journey to mental healthcare

I obtained my Master's in Counseling Psychology from National University in San Diego, CA from August 2010 to April 2012.

My goals for you

My goal is to help you reach your mental health objectives by combining our knowledge and skills to find effective solutions tailored to your needs.

My first session with you

We will explore what you have tried in the past and why it may have not worked for you so that we can find tools that truly work. We can get to the bottom of things and find long-term solutions. I am here to help you find your own, individual way.
