I have a passion for therapy as I grew up with it. Therapy was there for me as a child, teenager and even now as an adult through life's most simple to most complex challenges. While I cannot make absolute guarantees on outcomes like any therapist, I strive to offer genuine support and guidance to improve your mental health.
My approach
I tend to work usually within a humanistic client-centered approach, where I accept the client for who they are and what they're bringing to session, and we work together to solve/address concerns. Depending on the client's needs, I will utilize different techniques (eclecticism therapy) such as CBT, art therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, recognizing that each person is unique without a "one size fits all" solution.
My focus
I specialize in general mental health, men's issues, adolescent development, depressive symptoms/issues, BIPOC concerns, substance use, and LGBTQIA concerns. I am willing to see individuals as well as minors aged 13-17.
My communication style
I strive to create an open, non-judgmental space where you can share freely. My communication style is warm and collaborative - I listen closely to understand your unique perspective and needs. While I may gently challenge unhelpful thoughts at times, I always aim to validate your feelings and experiences.
My journey to mental healthcare
Therapy has been a major part of my life, supporting me through challenges at every stage from childhood to adulthood. This personal connection motivates me to provide genuine care to help others improve their mental well-being, just as therapy has done for me.
