Hi there, I'm Amal!

Sophia- Amal Hassan I am a mental health counselor (licensed in Florida), and an EMDR Certified Therapist.

My approach

I use a mindful-based/cognitive behavioral (CBT) framework, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Brainspotting, and Exposure Response Prevention therapy.

My focus

I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults in addressing issues of anxiety, depression, trauma recovery/PTSD, eating disorders, addiction and personality disorders.

My communication style

I provide a non-judgmental protected space, irrespective of ethnicity or sexual orientation, to process difficult emotions, learn coping skills, and access strengths and empowerment. I offer personal, confidential counseling to individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents and groups.
