Hi there, I'm Cynthia!

Hi, I'm Cindy! I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Northeast Florida, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults (18+); specializing in helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression; using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Client-Centered approaches to help clients make progress and start feeling better. I am passionate about helping people who "feel stuck, get unstuck".

My approach

My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use researched-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Client-Centered, working collaboratively with clients to identify goals and the interventions needed to get there. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults who are often struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationship issues. I work with clients to help build skills that allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life.

My focus

I work with adults (18+) struggling with some of today's most common problems, such as stress, anxiety, depression, aging, boundary setting and managing difficult relationships.

My communication style

My communication style is calm and personable. I want the people I work with to feel safe and know that they are not being judged. I am an active listener and want my clients to feel validated and that they are being heard.

My journey to mental healthcare

I decided to become a therapist because I enjoy helping people. I consider it a privilege to be part of my client's journey to becoming the "best version of themselves".

My goals for you

"You are the expert on you"; even though it might not feel that way sometimes. We work together to define what you want to accomplish and discuss therapeutic interventions that will help facilitate the changes and goals you want to accomplish.

My first session with you

During our first session we will discuss what is happening in your life right now, as well as gather your history to get a good understanding of what is contributing to your current problems. We will discuss your goals as well as interventions to facilitate the changes you are seeking.
