Hi there, I'm Cindy!

Hi! I'm Cindy Dietrich, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). I provide individual, couples, and family therapy services. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Central Florida and my master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

My approach

As everyone is different, I feel there is no single therapeutic approach that works for everyone. I have sought training in multiple therapeutic modalities, including Play Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Infant Mental Health (IMH), Brazelton Touchpoint, Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

My focus

My education, knowledge, and experience can help individuals of all ages overcome sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, sexual trauma such as rape, domestic violence, infidelity, witnessing violence, divorce, bullying, and other devastating traumas. Our goal is to achieve improved mental wellness and a higher quality of life.

My communication style

We will start treatment by sitting down with you for an intake session to get to know you and learn about your goals. We will then discuss with you the different paths we can take to meet those goals. Our focus is on using evidence-based therapy techniques with our clients, but we can use a variety of tools and approaches to make sure that your therapy sessions fit your needs.

My goals for you

In using evidence-based therapy techniques with clients. Evidence-based therapy is a term used to describe specific mental health therapy techniques that have been rigorously researched and proven to be effective. There are evidence-based therapy approaches to treat a wide range of mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

My first session with you

Evidence-based therapies approaches that are focused and goal-directed. Therapy sessions tend to have a plan or agenda for each session and often involve learning new information or skills. Most evidence-based therapy protocols involve homework, with clients practicing skills in between sessions to get maximum benefit.
