I work hard to provide an environment that is accepting and supportive and simultaneously looks for ways that increase growth and healing. Online therapy allows you to be in the comfort of your own home and not worry about the extra time to commute to an appointment.
My approach
My approach emphasizes skill-building, self-knowledge, and balance. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness-Based approaches and others, tailoring my approach to your unique needs.
My focus
I specialize in helping individuals and minors aged 13-17 deal with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, relationship issues, and more. My experience spans assisting people navigate the challenges that accompany adolescence and adulthood.
My communication style
I view my role as being part of your team, where we work together collaboratively to determine what is best for you. Through this partnership, I believe positive changes can occur.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with earning my Masters of Arts (MA) degree from Chapman College. I then accrued my clinical hours for licensure from 1996 to 1999 at Midstate Behavioral Health in Meriden, CT. I have now been a therapist in various settings for about 20 years.
My goals for you
Together we'll explore the tools that will work for you in working through your issues and coming out stronger! My goal is to help you build skills, gain self-knowledge, and find balance to create lasting positive change.
