Julia Murchison

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida working as a clinical therapist. My focus is helping people learn to feel safe in their own bodies while addressing issues of stress, anxiety, depression, grief, complex trauma, and substance use.

My approach

I use cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, ACT, polyvagal theory, and mindfulness skills through a psychodynamic lens to empower you to uncover the emotional blocks and thought patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My focus

I work with people who are experiencing feelings of overwhelm with life stressors, anxiety, and a desire to feel at peace within themselves.

My communication style

I teach important skills for understanding and managing complex emotions and then using these skills we being to explore and process difficult life events and unresolved issues.

My journey to mental healthcare

I was a licensed massage therapist for 20 years with a primary practice of craniosacral therapy and emotional release work. Becoming a licensed clinical social worker was the next step for me in my journey to becoming my best self.
