Hi there, I'm Stacy!

Stacy Schmoll has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from McNeese State University and received her Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of South Florida. Stacy promotes and embraces the practice of mindfulness and gratitude, the value of human connection, and the importance of finding meaning in one's life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, exercising, camping, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

My approach

Stacy's practice is grounded in person-centered, developmental, and relational-cultural theories, and she frequently uses mindfulness, body-centered, and psychodynamic interventions. Stacy believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship. She genuinely values the importance of building rapport with clients and supports clients in finding a therapist they feel is a good fit for them based on their individual treatment needs and goals. Stacy believes in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and embraces a strengths-based lens when working with individuals who have experienced grief and loss as well as other challenges and stressors. She hopes to help you engage and enhance your capacity for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness to better understand and navigate your past, present, and future, allowing you to feel empowered and hopeful despite grief, loss, and hardships.

My focus

Stacy works with adult, individual clients. She promotes and embraces the practice of mindfulness and gratitude, the value of human connection, and the importance of finding meaning in one's life. As a clinical social worker, Stacy has experience working with a variety of issues, including grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment/life changes, and has experience collaborating with professionals on multidisciplinary teams in a variety of settings and working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

My communication style

Stacy's communication style is compassionate and responsive to each client's unique needs. She will guide you to explore your concerns and build a greater understanding of the different aspects of your experience, from the emotional, mental, and physical to the family, social, cultural, and spiritual dimensions. Using a variety of evidence-based techniques, she will help you reconnect to existing strengths and cultivate additional resources that support progress toward the changes you wish to make.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love what I do! Being a therapist is more than a job--it reflects a core part of me that enjoys getting to know people at a real level. The therapy process allows for authentic, honest conversations. As a therapist, I guide people through personal challenges, help ease emotional burdens, and empower people to achieve a healthier mind. With a new mindset, clients can pursue new ways to live in both their professional and personal lives.

My goals for you

Stacy utilizes a collaborative and real-life approach to develop goals and intervention strategies that will best meet the needs of her individual client. Her approach focuses heavily on gaining a greater understanding of the unique needs of each client and the recognition of resiliency in each individual.

My first session with you

During your first session, you can expect for Stacy to provide compassion and emotional support while you begin to navigate difficult emotions and behavior patterns. She will be there for you as you begin to work through negative experiences in a way that provides the insight to help you feel better.
