My name is Stephanie Taylor and I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker based in Florida and working with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with teens through older adults using a systems and cognitive behavioral approach and specialize in stress, anxiety, aging, caregiver burnout, high school to college transitions, self-esteem, and weight loss struggles.
My approach
My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client. Together, we develop a plan that will navigate issues and help guide us to success. We develop a realistic understanding of the client's reality and develop goals.
My focus
I have found my approach to be beneficial at various ages. I meet the client he/she is. I can relate to the over-50 population as well as parents with high school and college-age children. I can relate to being a caregiver, parent, working mom, teen, and college age.
My communication style
My communication style is personable and reality-based. I want my client to feel comfortable sharing anything, and I provide a safe, non-judgemental place to do so.
My journey to mental healthcare
I decided to become a therapist as it was a natural fit for me as a problem solver. I have naturally been drawn to helping others through friendship, faith, community, and volunteerism. I have been in practice for over 25 years and continue to learn and grow from everyone I encounter.
My goals for you
Setting goals is a partnership. We approach goals that are realistic, trackable, and client-centered.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to therapy and what you hope to accomplish. We work on establishing trust with one another. There will be time for both of us to ask questions.
