Hi! My name is Christine Swiersz. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida. I am a warm, supportive therapist who specializes in helping adults of all ages who are experiencing anxiety, stress, or depression. My professional goal is to help others find the peace they want and need in their daily lives.
My approach
I will support you by helping you to address your feelings while assisting you in gaining the tools and skills to successfully overcome feelings of anxiety or depression. I am a progress-based therapist who utilizes treatment modalities that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy, Family/Marital Therapy, and Relational Therapy to assist my clients in obtaining positive results.
My focus
I treat adults of all ages who are experiencing stress, anxiety, or depression. I have assisted adults and children for over 31 years and I am truly devoted to helping others to identify and build the peace they are searching for in their lives.
My communication style
I am a warm, supportive therapist who provides a great deal of support for the individuals that I work with. I often provide my clients with additional helpful resources including books, videos, and articles that address the concerns they are facing. I am very open to client perspectives and feedback regarding the goals we are setting and working on in therapy and look forward to dialoguing with clients to help them to gain the most out of their therapy time.
My journey to mental healthcare
I was attracted to a career in counseling after experiencing a successful season in therapy as a young adult. I was excited about the hope that I experienced as an outcome of the therapeutic process and knew that I wanted to provide the same experience for others. I am driven to do this work daily by the joy that I experience when I assist a client to make progress toward obtaining the peace that they are seeking.
My goals for you
Goal setting is completed during our first session to ensure that the client's needs and concerns are addressed throughout the therapeutic process. The client and I will revisit the goals that were established during their first visit on a monthly basis to ensure that progress is being made and to add additional goals if necessary to best assist the client.
My first session with you
A review of all client intake information to ensure that all needs and concerns will be addressed in therapy and the creation of all therapeutic goals that the client may have at the first session. Any guidelines or questions regarding therapy will be addressed during this first session.
