Hi there, I'm Jodi!
Hi. My name is Jodi Rabkin-Turner, LMHC, LPC. I specialize in trauma, PTSD, and the disorders that come from those issues.
My approach
I tend to use a combination of CBT and psychotherapy to get to the core issues in order to work through them.
My focus
I typically work with clients that have depression and anxiety, PTSD, sexual abuse, trauma, substance abuse, or any symptoms that occur due to past or present life experiences.
My communication style
I am very straightforward and tend not to beat around the bush. It takes some work to change and get past your issues, so I give out some real-life assignments that can be used in the "real world" to help clients get past their core issues.
My goals for you
I will usually ask a client about what goals they would like to achieve and then give assignments based on what the client would like to work on.
My first session with you
Clients should expect to disclaim why they are seeking treatment and be prepared to answer open-ended questions pertaining to what they have said.
