My name is Chemenda Sawyer, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor, in the state of FL. I believe that there are multiple dimensions of wellness: emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and intellectual. I integrate the dimensions of wellness to facilitate healing. I believe we all have the ability to heal. I do not promise overnight change, but I do promise to equip you with the tools to transform.
My approach
I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness in my practice. I work collaboratively with my clients to explore negative patterns and find potential solutions, so that they can create healthy relationships with themselves and others.
My focus
I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds. Some of my clients are dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, workplace stressors, and self-esteem issue to name a few. No matter what is going on I work with my clients to create solutions.
My communication style
I provide support and guidance to clients without judgment. I am committed to providing a safe space that facilitates growth and development. I empower my clients to change and confront their negative self-talk and self-doubt; in a non-judgmental, empathetic, hopeful way. It is okay to ask for help. It would be an honor to work with you.
