Hi there, I'm Frank!

My name is Frank Busbey, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor working remotely with clients across the state of Georgia. My aim is to help people heal from life's wounds and grow in personal strength. I have training in using clients' faith to help in the therapeutic process and also work with clients seeking non-faith-based therapy and counseling.

My approach

The kinds of therapy I do depends on the client's needs and include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and a depth-oriented approach that looks at the role of your childhood and motivations.

My focus

I work with adults dealing with life issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, marital issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder, and codependency. Some of my most rewarding work has been with military veterans. Couples therapy is another area of focus in my practice.

My communication style

In therapy, I seek to create a calm, safe place for my clients. Listening carefully and actively is primary in my approach. I want you to be able to share anything and everything and gain a deeper self-understanding.

My journey to mental healthcare

My interest in psychology and psychotherapy started as a child. My first career was as a church pastor. Helping to hurt people has always been important to me. I always enjoyed counseling and kept learning more to do it effectively. After my first wife died, I went back to school and got my degree in professional counseling. Working with people one on one, with couples, and with groups is very rewarding for me.

My goals for you

Goals are set collaboratively. The primary thing is what you want and what you need. I will work with you to set goals and refine them as our therapy progresses.

My first session with you

Our first session will be a time of exploration. I will listen to your concerns, asking questions to help me understand clearly what you want and need from therapy. My goal in the first session is to begin to get to know you and begin to build a connection that will help our work together accomplish what you want and need.
