Hi, there, I'm Lori Posnansky. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I bring to my practice a wealth of life experience. Prior to my 13-year practice as a mental health clinician, I worked in management in the telecommunications and banking industries. I grew a home health business from start-up to sale to a national healthcare company. As an 18-year cancer survivor, mental and physical wellness has been an integral part of my life.
My approach
I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and have witnessed repeatedly how this modality, in a short span of time, can improve your functioning.
My focus
I thrive on enabling people with both medical and behavioral challenges to work toward a better quality of life by reducing anxiety, depression, and stress. I welcome those who prefer a Christian perspective to treatment.
My communication style
I love to develop a great rapport by listening to your burdens and expressing compassion. I also feel it's important to help you move beyond your struggles by providing workable solutions you can implement in your life.
My journey to mental healthcare
As a cancer survivor, my perspective on life changed dramatically after the diagnosis. I was drawn to help others who were struggling with difficult life experiences and returned to school in midlife to become a therapist.

My first session with you
During our first session, we will get to know each other, and explore why you are seeking help and how we can make improvements. I will explain what approach I will use and the way our sessions will be conducted.
