Hi there, I'm Catherine!

Hi! I'm Catherine Harm, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker here in the State of Georgia. I have been working in mental health since 2010 and have been fully licensed as an LCSW since 2014. I have a wealth of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults on a variety of issues and behaviors. I can provide individual therapy, family therapy, and couples counseling.

My approach

I use a variety of techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and attachment and bonding techniques.

My focus

There are some of the issues are I work with trauma, divorce, infidelity, LGBTQIA issues, struggling adoption and foster parents, youth who have been adopted, depression, anxiety, postpartum depression, women's issues, sports performance, substance abuse, stress, low self-esteem, family conflict, and parenting challenges.

My communication style

I try to create a relaxed environment for therapy. Coming to therapy can often feel scary and overwhelming, so I want to help my clients take a deep breath so that we can address the challenges in their lives.

My journey to mental healthcare

I never meant to become a therapist. But, working in the field of social work, I found that there were just so many people who needed help and support for a variety of issues. I wanted to make therapy a comfortable place for those of different backgrounds and needs so that they could get the help they needed to be able to find peace in life.

My goals for you

I work with my client to figure out what they want to achieve, and then we look at some clear, measurable ways to define those goals.

My first session with you

In the first session, I'll ask a series of questions to find out what is going on and what your goals are, and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process or my practice. We will then determine the best course of action for you.
