My name is Tujuana S. Jallah, LPC. Obstacles are unexpected and barriers can be stressful and overwhelming at times. My goal is to assist the individual with overcoming these challenges. Depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger, and grief along with having the inability to focus can be causes of psychotic/mental breakdowns which affect everyone differently. With mental adversities/barriers, I extend counseling services to children, adolescents, and families seeking a road to recovery.
My approach
CBT, DBT, Family Systems, Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing
My focus
Mental Health: children, adolescents, teens. Individuals, Family, and Couples.
My communication style
I am a believer in being HONEST. I believe it is important to demonstrate honesty, therefore, modeling honesty for my clients will assist them in being honest with themselves and then to others. Creating a clear and open path to success and healing of past trauma, stress, and other life events.
My journey to mental healthcare
It has always been my desire to help others. I have never been afraid to speak my mind regarding injustice as it relates to women and children. I found my voice in college and followed my heart and here I am today as a licensed professional counselor working with women, children, and families.
My goals for you
It is important to first know that you desire to have a goal(s). Then identify the goal(s) and one by one develop each of those goals. In other words, goal setting is like taking small bites of an apple and then digesting each bite before taking another bite.
