Are you in a period of transition or stagnation in life? Struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, finding joy, or constantly feeling that you have no motivation? I am here to provide a structured and supportive environment to help you meet your goals for healthier mental and physical well-being.
My approach
I work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) theoretical framework but also enjoy utilizing other evidence-based approaches, including brief motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy. My intention is to tailor my approach to best support your unique needs and goals.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, such as a new job, marriage, blended families, or homelessness. I have experience helping people manage the symptoms that often manifest during these times, including anxiety, depression, addiction, and more.
My communication style
My communication style is structured yet supportive. I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable exploring your challenges and working towards positive change.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with a bachelor's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, which provided me with a strong foundation in understanding how eating habits can impact mental well-being. I went on to earn a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling and have been providing individual and family counseling independently for 8 years.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the coping skills and self-awareness needed to navigate life's challenges, improve your relationships, and enhance your overall quality of life. I am committed to supporting you in finding greater joy, motivation, and fulfillment.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy and collaborate on a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and goals. This will be a space for you to share your story and for us to begin building a therapeutic relationship founded on trust, empathy, and understanding.
