Hello, my name is Haley Peck, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I specialize in guiding you through the process of healing, whether that be from depression, anxiety, or trauma. I am here to help you identify the underlying issues that cause the struggles you face day to day and help you empower yourself to work through them and move beyond them. I use methods that work on changing how you speak to yourself, helping to create a more positive mindset and learning to cope and work through symptoms as they arise. I am here to work beside you and guide you through some of the more difficult times in order to help you regain control and light in your life. My approach
Our sessions will include traditional talk therapy as well as learning new skills to help outside of sessions. These skills will include breathing exercises, CBT therapy worksheets, language exercises as well as negative thought-stopping exercises. I work hard to create a safe and open environment that will help facilitate a place of free expression and positivity in our sessions. The sessions may not always be easy, depending on the topic at hand, but I will always be there to help guide you through those difficult times. It is of the utmost importance to me that we focus on your progress along the way, as well as self-encouragement during the hard times to remind you why you started therapy and all of the positive outcomes to look forward to.
My focus
I often work with young adults-older adults who are looking to change and grow from their past experiences or current stressors they are dealing with. I am comfortable working with a range of different mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, stress management, bipolar, domestic violence, trauma, and eating disorders.
My communication style
During our sessions, you will hear me often say that "small steps lead to the biggest rewards," and by looking into starting therapy, you have already taken that first step forward. While it may be a scary step, there are big rewards on the way. My first session with you
During the first session, we will have an open discussion of your background information and identify the current struggles you are dealing with while also building a rapport and getting to know one another. From there, we will talk about what goals you are wanting to work on and the steps to help you reach them.
