Hi! My name is Angela Hogg. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor bringing over 25 years of experience in helping individuals overcome the challenges in their lives. I approach therapy with you being an active participant in the process. I will help you to identify the problematic areas of your life and together we will come up with plans to facilitate change. I will help to equip you to learn new skills, behaviors, thoughts, and abilities to make your life what you truly want. I have extensive experience in treating depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem issues, and marital and family issues.
My approach
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as I believe our thoughts and behaviors are connected and affect one another. I also provide Christian Counseling as I am a Christian and that does affect my paradigm. I will never be judgmental as I know we are all a "work in progress". I will encourage you to become the best version of yourself.

I am a very personable and empathic clinician. I love what I do and genuinely care for my patients. I provide a safe atmosphere for you to share your deepest feelings and thoughts with complete confidentiality.
My journey to mental healthcare
I have always known that being a counselor was what I was called to do. From being an adolescent and being the one my friends always came to for direction and advice to having adults comment that I was "wise beyond my years." I am a Christian and I believe God has a plan and purpose for everyone's lives. I know this is His purpose for me. I have always had a great amount of empathy and genuine love for others. I hate to see others hurting and struggling in their lives. It is truly my passion to help others identify problems, teach them new skills and behaviors, and then see them make positive changes to live a victorious fulfilling life.
My goals for you
Together we will set goals and make clear steps to achieve those goals. I think goal setting is an important component of counseling so we know what we want to work towards and achieve.
My first session with you
During the first session, you will be met with compassion and encouraged to share the issues going on in your life that led to your decision to seek counseling services. I will help you identify the issues you are struggling with, and together we will come up with a plan to find healing, hope, and change.
