Hi there, I'm Ruth!

Hi there, I'm Ruth Hagemann, a Licensed Professional Counselor who is committed to supporting all of my clients through the challenges and changes life can bring to achieve growth and healing in their lives. Together, we will discuss and implement strategies to make your burdens feel lighter.

My approach

My approach to providing therapy is client-centered. Creating a space in which clients can experience empathy and support is important to growth and change. I work collaboratively with clients to identify current challenges and create a treatment plan that will provide clients with a beneficial experience. I strive to make counseling an approachable experience through genuine support, compassionate guidance, warmth, and humor.

My focus

I am skilled in working with adults with depression, and anxiety, addressing relationship issues, self-confidence, and life transitions. My ideal client is someone who wants to be the best version of themselves and who is willing to put in the work to get there but perhaps is feeling a little stuck.

My communication style

I am an active listener and strive to create a comfortable, judgment-free space for you to share your story. As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, non-biased, confidential, client-centered environment.

My first session with you

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and discuss a plan moving forward toward healing.
