Cameron Hoellrich

My goal and mission are to help people to improve their lives by working through their challenges and learning different techniques to build coping and resilience to improve their life experiences. My focus is on meeting people where they are and helping them to improve their quality of life. My background includes work in outpatient settings, inpatient hospitals, college counseling settings, and in my own private practice. I have studied at Syracuse University and have my degree in Psychology, and also studied at the top social work school in the country, the University of Michigan.

My approach

I gather inspiration from a variety of backgrounds and techniques but have found that individuals have a great deal of success when we work on the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

My focus

I love working with clients who are curious about the underlying parts of their thoughts and emotions. I work hard to identify goals and find concrete ways to make progress and reduce symptoms.

My communication style

I try to have an open and laid-back communication style. My priority is that clients feel heard and that they have a safe, nonjudgmental space to discuss their concerns.

My journey to mental healthcare

I love the work I do and having the opportunity to assist people in feeling better and working through their problems. At the core of it, therapy for me has always been about helping others. Now more than ever, I think it's important that people have a space to talk about how they feel, receive support, and learn how to better their lives.

My goals for you

Success in treatment for me means people feel better as quickly as possible. This may come from identifying problems, learning background and underlying issues, and developing coping strategies and techniques.

My first session with you

In my initial session, I'll work to clearly identify current problems and establish well-defined treatment goals. I'll also hope to explore and better understand the history and background that we can apply to current concerns.
