Alicia has been in the field of social work for 16 years and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for 10. Her Master Addiction Counselor (MAC) certification has allowed her to be a support to those who are battling with substance abuse and alcohol challenges. Alicia strives to be "committed to the process." Being fully invested in the journey toward healing is what she does. She provides services that address substance abuse, depression, anxiety, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and life challenges.
My approach
Alicia is eclectic with her therapy, using a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet the client's needs, like trauma-focused therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing as guides in helping women and men become a happier and healthier version of their selves, helping them to conquer their challenges, pain or trauma.
My focus
Alicia works with adults in an individual session setting. She provides services for substance abuse, depression, anxiety, intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and life challenges.
My communication style
Alicia is passionate about creating a safe space where you can process, focus on your needs, and most importantly, be heard. This helps promote confidence, self-awareness, and healthy boundaries.
My goals for you
Alicia feels it is important to put the client in the driver's seat of their treatment, helping them to transform their needs into treatment goals. For beginners, she will explain how the treatment plan navigates the therapeutic process, laying out the path that will be taken for the client's journey. Alicia will guide the client in creating SMART goals, which support the client in being successful in completing their goals.
My first session with you
In the first session, the client is expected to complete an initial assessment. Clients will receive clinical questionnaires prior to the first session, so the results of the scores can be addressed during the first session.
