Hello, my name is Katrina Luke, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have over 10 years of experience in the counseling field, working with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, codependent behaviors, ADHD, and family conflict.
My approach
My counseling approach integrates various models, including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and person-centered techniques. I tailor my methods and treatment to meet the specific needs of each unique client.
My focus
I work with individuals, families, and couples. My specialties include ADHD, anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, career counseling, codependency, coping skills, cultural stress, depression, divorce, family conflict, grief, impulsivity, infertility, job stress, life transitions, infidelity, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), parenting, pregnancy and prenatal/postpartum issues, peer relationships, and LGBTQIA+ matters.
My communication style
As a counselor, I believe it is extremely important to build a strong rapport with my clients and establish a safe and warm environment. I strive to create an atmosphere where clients feel heard, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
My journey to mental healthcare
From 8/2009 to 8/2012, I completed my clinical hours for licensure at Ogeechee Behavioral Health and Care Partners of GA in Swainsboro, GA, as well as Inspirations (with Marsha Warren) in Statesboro, GA. These experiences solidified my passion for helping others and equipped me with the skills to provide effective mental health care.
