My communication style
I take a warm and genuine approach to building rapport with clients. I am naturally a laid-back person, and I bring that to my work with clients to create a safe space where clients and be open and authentic.
My journey to mental healthcare
I often say to people that counseling chose me; I've always been the sounding board and safe space for family members and loved ones. I'm motivated by helping others realize they are not alone and to help them feel seen and heard, as I know what it feels like to be invisible. My goal for each session, at the bare minimum, is to remind clients that someone is listening to them.
My goals for you
I am in the passenger seat and encourage clients to be in the driver's seat by setting goals. I am here to support and guide but not take control.
My first session with you
The first session is crucial in building rapport. I use the first session to gather relevant information and connect with the client(s).
