My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with realizing how underserved certain populations, particularly minorities have been historically. After earning my Master of Science degree from Troy State University. I completed my clinical hours for licensure at The Family Center in Columbus, GA from 2014-2015. I have worked for The Veterans Crisis Line, ACT teams, community service clinics, healthcare plans, and in private practice. I have provided one-on-one, group, and family therapy and led groups for different underserved populations. These experiences, along with my decade of work with diverse populations, have shaped me into the culturally competent provider I am today.
My goals for you
My priority is to provide you with high-quality, culturally sensitive care that is accessible and effective. Through our work together, my goal is to empower you with the skills and insights to navigate life's challenges, enhance your well-being, and achieve your personal goals for growth and healing.
My first session with you
In our first session, we will focus on understanding your unique situation, needs, and goals. This will involve discussing what brings you to therapy, learning about your background, and identifying the areas where you'd like to see change or growth. Most importantly, we'll begin building the therapeutic relationship that will serve as the foundation for our work together. You can expect me to be warm, non-judgmental, and focused on understanding your perspective.
