Hi, my name is Emeka, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping my clients through challenges that result in healing and growth in their lives.

My approach

My approach is client-centered and I will meet you without judgment, but with empathy, open-mindedness, and unconditional positive regard. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals, we are a team and work together throughout this process!

My focus

I have a special interest in supporting clients who have experienced trauma and struggle with symptoms of depression as well as grief-related issues. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and have specific experience working with this population.

My communication style

I am an active listener who listens without judgment. I will give you the opportunity and space to share your experiences and perspectives while working to understand your concerns and help you clarify your goals for therapy.

My journey to mental healthcare

I have always wanted to help people in their time of need and have always felt it is important to help people realize you may struggle for a season, but it will not last. My favorite quote is "It's not about how hard you get hit, but how you are able to get back up and move forward, that's how winning is done!"

We work as a team to establish your goals for therapy and develop a plan to achieve your therapy goals at a pace that is comfortable for you.

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another. It's an opportunity for you to share why you are seeking treatment and for us to begin creating a plan to help you accomplish your goals!
