I am empathetic in my approach and believe that when provided with the appropriate knowledge and support, individuals are able to create the life they desire. Modalities utilized: Solution-Focused Brief (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based (MBCT).

My journey to mental healthcare
Since 2003, I have worked in the field of mental health in some capacity. I am motivated by the desire to help and support others, which is something that was instilled in me from a very young age. I was raised by parents that taught me the value of being of service to others, so it was only natural for me to find myself in a career that is aligned with this value. There are many professions that would have allowed me to help people, but helping others through therapy provides a more unique and satisfying way to affect people in a positive way. Witnessing the growth that clients make is what I love most about my work. I truly enjoy supporting, motivating, and empowering others to achieve their personal goals through therapy.

Identifying goals for therapy is essential. Goal setting is a collaborative effort at the same time it's an opportunity for clients to gain a sense of ownership over the therapy process. Therapy goals provide direction and give us variables to measure client's progress.
