In our everyday journey, we can face situations that may feel overwhelming, scary, or disappointing. These situations can lead to unhelpful thinking patterns, negative feelings, unhealthy life patterns, pain, anxiety, and depression. If any of this resonates with you, then feel free to reach out to me and we can work through this together! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia and I work from a client-centered and eclectic or integrative lens to provide personal and unique treatment to each individual. I work with a wide array of clients; from survivors of trauma, those struggling with anxiety and depression, experiencing obsessive or compulsive thoughts and behaviors, to those experiencing life transitions and stress. I have received experience in a variety of clinical settings including college student mental health clinics, geriatric living facilities, and private practice clinics seeing adolescents and adults.
My approach
Warm, accepting, and personal best describes my personal therapeutic style. Additionally, I also place a high value on using empathy, flexibility, careful listening, professional ethics, and accountability. I personalize the therapy modality to each unique client with an integrative or eclectic approach. I do have expertise in using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention.
My focus
For me, ideal psychotherapy clients are individuals who have experienced enough pain in their journey and are motivated to change. Individuals who are in need of someone to talk with who listens, walks, and, grows alongside you. I care to help you live your life to the fullest by finding meaning and understanding.
My communication style
I strive to create a therapeutic safe place in which you feel supported, accepted, valued, and empowered. As an introvert and a therapist of faith, I am comfortable sharing the therapy space with you by using empathy, unbiased feedback, and offering a listening ear. I am down to earth and willing to work with all clients to find resiliency and empowerment to create positive changes in their lives.
My goals for you
I work with each individual client to create a personalized treatment plan. Overall, I strive to help clients make positive changes in their lives by facilitating behavioral changes, helping improve the client’s ability to both establish and maintain relationships, and helping enhance the client’s effectiveness and ability to cope.
My first session with you
The first session is for me and my clients and to get to know each other and for me to learn, in-depth, about what problem/s bring my clients to therapy, and what they hope to gain from attending these sessions.
