Hi there, I'm Elizabeth!

Seeking help can often be scary and intimidating. It is important to find a therapist that is caring and compassionate. In my practice, I seek to provide a safe and comfortable space for individuals to share the most vulnerable parts of their lives.

My approach

I believe that everyone has the potential to lead a meaningful and fulfilling life. Through our work together, using modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused, and Strength-Based approaches, I believe we can help you achieve your goals in a way that is culturally sensitive and centers on your unique needs as a person.

My focus

I am willing to see individuals, minors (ages 13-17), and couples. My specialties include addiction, adoption, alcohol use, anxiety, bipolar disorder, codependency, depression, coping skills, drug abuse, dual diagnosis, family conflict, grief, life transitions, mood disorders, legal stress, relationship issues, parenting, prenatal/postpartum concerns, self-esteem, women's issues, trauma, PTSD, stress, relapse prevention, and LGBTQIA+ related matters.

My communication style

No matter what you are struggling with, it is my goal to form a collaborative, trusting relationship with every client that I see. I aim to create a safe space where we can work together to navigate life's challenges and equip you with the support and tools needed to better cope with the difficulties that come your way.

My journey to mental healthcare

My journey to mental healthcare began with earning my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. This education provided me with a strong foundation in helping individuals lead more fulfilling lives.

My goals for you

Through our therapeutic work together, my ultimate goal for you is to feel empowered with the skills, self-awareness, and resilience to handle life's ups and downs, break free from past patterns that no longer serve you, and move forward on a path of healing and growth. I want to help you tap into your innate strengths and lead a life that feels meaningful and authentic to who you are.

My first session with you

In our first session, we will begin to get to know one another and start to map out your therapeutic goals. I will provide a warm, non-judgmental space for you to share your story, discuss what is bringing you to therapy at this time, and collaborate on a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique needs and objectives. Taking this courageous first step is something to be proud of, and I look forward to beginning this important work with you.
