My name is Zach Wittmann and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I work with adults and specialize in helping those who are dealing with high levels of stress, relationship/work/family issues, and generally feeling stuck.
My approach
I commonly utilize a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as Rogerian (client-centered approach) among other therapeutic techniques with my clients. Equally important as the type of technique being used is the connection that I aim to develop first and foremost with my clients.
My focus
Many of my clients tend to be between the ages of 25-45 who may be dealing with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma and life transitions.
My communication style
In our sessions, you can expect a casual and laid-back style of communication. I aim to be my authentic self with everyone I work with, and I want all my clients to feel comfortable in sessions with me as a result.
My journey to mental healthcare
Having traveled to over 20+ countries and worked with people from many different cultures around the world, I have seen how mental health issues can impact people from all walks of life, and how counseling can be beneficial for anyone. Helping people live fuller, happier lives through therapy and seeing these positive outcomes is what drives my work as a counselor.
My goals for you
I realize that many clients are very goal-oriented and data-driven, while others are less concerned with measurable outcomes and just want a professional to speak with. Therefore I tailor my goal-setting approach to what is best for each client.
My first session with you
Our first session will be focused on gathering as much information from you about the reason(s) that you are seeking counseling. This framework helps me develop a roadmap for future sessions and allows you the chance to begin working on creating positive change in your life from our very first session.
