My name is Aillen (Lynn) Ford. I am a licensed clinical social worker who utilizes a variety of evidence-based strategies to provide you with the tools you require to address your treatment goals. I have over a decade of experience working with people of all ages.
My approach
I have an eclectic style, pulling from a variety of evidence-based methodologies to find the best tools for each client. My approach is very person-centered, and I find that a variety of skills from CBT, DBT, SFBT, etc. are helpful to most individuals.
My focus
My focus has recently been on 18-65 years old with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, ADHD, and communication issues in regard to relationships and parenting.
My communication style
I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, unbiased environment to empower individuals to explore their beliefs and concerns while gaining or enhancing skills to address their therapeutic needs.
My journey to mental healthcare
I love helping others explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and helping them to find the tools they need to feel happier about their lives and achieve the goals they set out for themselves.
My goals for you
My belief is that therapy should be client-driven and goal-oriented.
My first session with you
The first session is generally rapport building, getting to know each other, and allowing the client to have questions answered about what their future therapy sessions will be like, while simultaneously giving the therapist an opportunity to explore some of the concerns that the client wants addressed in therapy.
