Hello! I'm Dr. Stacey Schayer. I have been practicing for over 25 years in social work. I strive to provide clients with a warm, safe, and supportive environment to foster greater self-acceptance, develop healthy coping strategies, and maximize their strengths.
My approach
I use an integrative approach to help individuals grow and expand their strengths and cultivate intentions such as kindness, patience, compassion, strength, and responsibility.
My focus
The majority of my experience is with children/adolescents and families. I have 16 years of experience in the school setting. In addition, I work with the LGBTQ+ population and gender identity. I also treat adults with depression and anxiety and those looking for life coaching.
My communication style
I provide a safe space without judgment or bias. Building a relationship with my clients is one of my strengths. Once a trusting relationship is established, we can make many good things happen.
My journey to mental healthcare
I am passionate about my work. Throughout my 25 years of working with various populations, I have learned how much I enjoy my career.
My goals for you
Goal setting is done through a strength-based approach. I collaborate with clients to establish their goals and use support and tasks to help them reach them.

During the first session, I want to get to know you. I will provide you with information about my experience as a social worker, explain the principles of how the sessions with go, and get to know what brings you to Rula Mental Health.
