As a licensed therapist with 26 years of experience across diverse settings including social work, inpatient behavioral health, private practice, healthcare, and hospice, I am dedicated to supporting individuals in their personal growth and helping them create the life they desire.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which focuses on identifying and changing maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors to improve emotional well-being and foster positive change.
My focus
I specialize in working with individuals seeking support for a range of concerns, including coping skills development, codependency, family conflict, mood disorders, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues.
My communication style
In our work together, you can expect a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where open and honest communication is encouraged. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey in mental healthcare began at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville, Illinois, where I completed my clinical hours for licensure under the supervision of Steve Hunter, LCSW, from 1995 to 1997. This experience solidified my commitment to helping others navigate life's challenges and achieve greater well-being.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and support needed to overcome obstacles, gain clarity, and cultivate a more fulfilling life. Together, we will work towards enhancing your self-awareness, strengthening your resilience, and developing strategies to thrive.
My first session with you
During our first session, we will explore your reasons for seeking therapy, discuss your goals, and begin to develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your unique needs and aspirations. This initial meeting allows us to establish a strong foundation for our therapeutic relationship and set the stage for your growth and healing journey.
