As a family therapist, I am committed to helping individuals, families, and minors aged 13-17 navigate life's challenges. With a Master of Science degree from Saint Louis University and experience providing direct care in various settings since 2017, I bring a compassionate and informed approach to my practice.
My approach
My therapeutic approach incorporates attachment-based, experiential, and trauma-informed modalities. I draw upon family systems theory, family therapy techniques, play therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to create a supportive and effective environment for growth and healing.
My focus
I specialize in working with clients facing anxiety, parenting challenges, self-esteem issues, and the unique needs of children and adolescents/teens. I tailor my approach to each individual or family's specific situation, collaborating with them to build on their strengths and develop new coping strategies.
My communication style
Effective communication is the foundation of my work. I strive to create an open, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. I believe in the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
My journey to mental healthcare
My journey to mental healthcare began with a deep desire to support individuals and families through life's ups and downs. Pursuing my Master's degree at Saint Louis University from 2014-2017, I gained invaluable clinical experience at the Center for Counseling and Family Therapy, St. Francis Community Services Southside, and Hoyleton Youth and Family Services. These diverse settings solidified my commitment to this meaningful work.
My goals for you
My goal is to empower you with the tools, insights, and resilience needed to overcome obstacles, enhance relationships, and lead a more fulfilling life. Whether you're an individual seeking personal growth, a family looking to strengthen your bonds, or a teen navigating the complexities of adolescence, I am here to support you every step of the way.
My first session with you
During our first session, we'll take time to discuss what brings you to therapy and collaborate on a plan tailored to your unique needs and goals. I'll provide a safe, compassionate space for you to share your story and start building the therapeutic alliance that will serve as the foundation for our work together. You can expect me to listen attentively, ask thoughtful questions, and begin offering guidance and support from the very start.
