My name is Kara Marriott and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). The demands and expectations of life can leave us feeling emotionally and mentally depleted. My goal as a therapist is to guide you through life challenges with an interactive, warm, and accepting approach to empower you to live your best life.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to your individual needs using emotion-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapies as well as culturally-informed and system-based perspectives.
My focus
My areas of specialty include the treatment of children and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, Women's Health Issues (perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, postpartum, pregnancy loss, and infertility), chronic health conditions, self-esteem, and life transitions.
My communication style
My goal in therapy is to hold a supportive, non-judgmental space for clients to help guide them to a place of acceptance, re-connection, and healing change to occur.
My journey to mental healthcare
Life is full of challenges, adversity, and diversity. Through my formal education and work experiences I have developed a passion to help others through life challenges and being open and accepting of all diversities.

My first session with you
Our first session will include a comprehensive assessment of current behavioral health concerns and symptoms, identifying reasons for treatment, and planning for continued care.
